We are not worried - something will come along.
Thank you to everyone who has donated to our building fund. Rest assured, every dollar donated has been earmarked for new property or a new building. So please continue to donate as we search for a new location!
We are out of room at our current location.
Over the last 4 years we have grown exponentially. We started with a simple wire shelf of books, then jumped to a large shelf. After a month we grew to 2 shelves then 4 then 7 and then we exploded. Our last and final upgrade came in August of 2021 when we expanded to the most available space of 2886 sq foot. There is no more room to grow.
At first it was just books and then came the free workshops. Sewing, Quilting, off the grid living. And then came Lego Dumps, food distribution, book clubs, adventure nights, Ukulele class and so much more.
When we started on January of 2018 we had 2 patrons. We now have over 2000 patrons.
According to our 2021 impact statement, we serviced almost 16,000 people in 6 counties.
We are raising $1 million in order to purchase the building at 10188 Dayton Pike (formerly the Family Dollar store). It has 9,200 square feet inside, allowing us to triple our available space. It sits on 1.2 acres and will grow our Agriculture Center by a projected 300%.
We will also be able to host free outdoor movies and events on-site.
In addition to expanding all the sections, the library already provides, we will build two meeting rooms for classes and community use.
