Developed in 2021, KELCURT Foundation wanted to create a safe and fun space for families to celebrate Halloween. This tradition continues in our 2nd annual Trunk or Treat and movie in the park.
No. This is a streamed-lined path with vehicles. Each vehicle owner is encouraged to decorate for the holidays. This year's theme is "Dias de los muertes". "Day of the Dead". But you can decorate however you wish.

There are 3 sections. 1) The trunk line 2) the gaming area and 3) the movie area.
Area 1: Just the treats maam. This first entry to the event will house all the trunks and people just wishing to hand out candy.
Area 2: Make me work for it. This is the gaming area where kids have to play games to win treats and prizes.
Area 3: When is the movie gonna start? This area you can place your blankets and get ready for "Coco". This movie starts at 8PM
Who knows! Last year we anticipate 400. We sold out online tickets at 750 and expected 1000. We hand counted 1700 people and the fire department said they estimated over 2000. So expect 2000 people with 1400 being children.

Trunks may set up starting at 3 PM. It is a first come, first serve positioning system.
The library is accepting candy donation to restock our venders as needed, only while supplies last. Bring at least 2000 pieces and you should be just fine.
Yep -- it takes a lot to take care of the community. And your $60 in candy will be greatly appreciated by every child that walks through our lines. We know times are hard. But now imagine the smiles on these kids faces as you hand out candy to skeletons, ghosts, and goblins. It's worth - trust us!

The Soddy-Daisy Community Library has teamed up with David Casteel from the David Casteel State Farm Agency to present a night of "haunting fun." On Saturday, Oct. 29 they will host the Day of the Dead (Dia de los Muertos) Trunk or Treat event at Veterans Park in Soddy-Daisy.
This free event will have local businesses, non-profit organizations and families setting up decorated vehicle candy stops. At each trunk, children of all ages will find treats, games and some spooky surprises.
