Chattanooga Head Start

The Chattanooga Head Start and Early Head Start program has been promoting the school readiness of Hamilton County’s children ages birth to five years since 1965. We believe the best way to prepare our children is to support the development of the whole child and give parents the resources they need to achieve their goals. Our classrooms provide a positive learning environment and our credentialed teachers use research based curricula to create developmental goals that are specifically tailored to each child. Best of all, Head Start is a free program!!

Set up / Break down

SDCL Staff and Volunteers will be onsite at 11 AM to begin prepping - you may set up at this time if you wish. But official set up begins at 1 PM Saturday. NO SET UP will be allowed on Friday - 1) there is no patrol on site 2) although the weather appears to be great for this weekend, there is a chance that your tent will not be there the next morning. All tents must be secured to ground.

No one may break down early - No vehicles may move on or off location between 2:50 PM and 8 PM.

Break down is at 8 PM exactly  -- you may stay on site if you are busy selling or have customers at your booth - but be advised vehicles will be exiting and driving in the park after 8 PM.

FOOD TRUCKS

There will be a baseball tournament going on. The last game starts at 2 PM - If you wish to set up early (11 AM, you are welcome to).

TRUNK or TREAT ONLY:

TRUNK happens from 4-7 (this is in the middle of festival). You must be set up by 2:45 like everyone else and you may not leave the park until 8PM.

Anticipate 2000+ children -- distribute your candy stock accordingly.

We recommend 1 piece per child - there is plenty of vendors to make a nice haul!  If you run out of candy, you may purchase a bag for $20.00 (CASH ONLY) from the SDCL Vendor Relations.

Merchandise Vendors:

All merchandise must be family friendly. Adult humor merchandise may not be displayed in public at any time.

Change:

KELCURT Foundation may have cash change on hand if required. Please see a volunteer at the main booth.

Parking

Each site has room for 1 (ONE) vehicle to park behind your set up. This will make it easier for you to set up - and easier to take down

RED Zone

This zone is set for sponsors or vendors that need a specific site.

ORANGE Zone

Those requesting power will set up in the orange zone. All requests so far have been for 110 power usage -- the city is setting up two panels but please bring extension cords.

NO CORDS may cross the sidewalk / path. This is a safety issue.

All booth spaces will be marked - BUT no one is assigned a space. It is first come first serve with spaces. You get to pick where you want to set up within the 12 foot markers that will be placed in the ground. You will have 10ft booth space with a 2 foot buffer between plots.

1 (ONE) vehicle per space may park behind your booth. if you think you may have to leave early, do NOT park in the main festival area.

Pink Zone

The pink is for all vendors not requiring power.

White Zone

The white zone is set for KELCURT Foundation and SDCL gaming and crafting areas.

Weather

The KELCURT Foundation is equipped with state of the art radar systems that monitor weather all day. If you hear the SIREN - please note that there could be a weather emergency - Take shelter and await further instructions. A board member will be at your location shortly or an announcement will be made over the PA system.

Music

We all love music - but we, personally, hate competing with it with our voices to talk to others.  The sound system will be at the outdoor stage - so plan accordingly when picking your booth space.

Vendor Relations

The KELCURT Foundation understands that sometimes we forget things.  If you need a zip tie / tape / or something, please ask. We usually have extra supplies.

A vendor relation volunteer may be by your booth to check on you and provide you with a bottle of water or maybe even a little snack. We focus on "non-food" vendors.

VIP and Volunteer Room

The Senior Center is reserved for our volunteers and sponsors.  Please use the public restrooms located behind the pavilion. City employees will be on hand to clean and restock supplies as need - but if you see an issue, please find one of the volunteers with a badge and we will notify the city.

Questions ?

If you need further information - or if we haven't addressed something you need - please call Curtis at 423-645-7427 or Kelly at 423-645-7428.

Thank you and we hope you have a most wonderful experience at our event!
